Meet The Team

After graduating from Dental school, Dr. Baxter completed post-graduate training on Oahu in 2011. He started working at Kahului Dental in 2013 and took ownership in 2014. He has 5 young children. He spends his free time with his family and gardening.

Dr. Momberg graduated from University of Louisville Dental School. Prior to relocating to Maui in 2020, Dr. Momberg worked for Indian Health Reservations in Nome, Alaska for two years. He lives an active lifestyle surfing, skateboarding, and traveling. 

Dr. Lena Poonnopatam (Dr. Lena) was born and raised in Thailand. Upon graduation from the  University of Iowa, she relocated to Oahu to begin her career before making her way to Maui in 2021. She is new to Kahului Dental as of 2023 and we enjoy her positive perspective and energy.  

Born and raised on Maui. Christine ventured to Oregon for her education before returning home. She has been a hygienist at Kahului Dental since 2018. She went back to school in laser hair removal and runs that business when not working in dentistry. 

Angel was born and raised on Maui. She went to Oahu for schooling and work before returning home and joining Kahului Dental in 2018. Angel is a business woman and mom of 1. She owns and operates @mauiselectphotobooth and @mauiselectprints.

Born and raised on Maui, Sierra has over 20 years experience as a dental assistant and at Kahului Dental since 2014. Sierra cares about people and works hard to make things right. She has 3 wonderful children and is very active in the community.

Born and raised on Maui, Angelica joined Kahului Dental in 2020. She's working full-time and going to school. An avid basketball player and sports enthusiast. Angelica brings a lot of fun and humor to the workplace. You'll find her laughing in the back office assisting Dr. Momberg. 

Novara has over 20 years of dental experience. She joined Kahului Dental in 2021. Her knowledge in both front and back office has been invaluable to our team. She loves living on Maui and can be found in or next to the water when not at the office. 

Tasha was born and raised on Maui and joined Kahului Dental in 2019. She has 5 children, manages our office team, organizes our team parties and spends her extra time volunteering. This kind and busy mom is always serving others. 

Mikal was born and raised on Maui and joined Kahului Dental in 2022. She's brought a lot of joy and positivity to our team. She has been learning the ins and outs of insurance and helping improve our systems. She enjoys everything anime. 

Ryssa was born and raised on Maui and joined Kahului Dental in 2020. Ryssa brought a lot of professionalism to our office from her experience in hotel management. She has 2 active young children busy in sports.
